Phase 1 Initiatives

Phase 1 Initiative

At Bridge to Independence, Phase 1 focuses on creating a solid foundation for foster youth transitioning to independent living. We offer 15 fully-furnished studio apartments, providing a secure environment for young adults to begin their journey towards self-sufficiency. Each apartment includes essential amenities, allowing residents to concentrate on personal growth. We also provide comprehensive life skills training in financial literacy, job readiness, and personal development. Additionally, our Stability Stipends program offers financial assistance to young adults aged 18-24, including pregnant or parenting teens, ensuring financial stability to pursue their goals. Each resident is paired with a dedicated mentor for guidance and support, empowering foster youth to build fulfilling, independent lives.

Phase 2 Initiative

Phase 2 Initiative

In Phase 2, we aim to expand our impact by increasing our Supervised Independent Living (SIL) program from 15 beds to over 100, allowing more foster youth to transition into independent living. We also plan to include low-income senior housing and housing for adults with disabilities, creating a diverse and supportive community. This mixed-use development will feature social enterprises on the ground floor, providing job opportunities and fostering community and economic sustainability. Enhanced life skills training and mentorship programs will ensure every resident receives personalized support, reflecting our commitment to holistic development and long-term sustainability.
